Booking Conditions

BOOKING PROCEDURE

Please fill in the enquiry form on our website, E-Mail us or telephone 020 8542 0505 to check availability of accommodation and make a provisional booking.
We will hold this for five days pending receipt of a deposit of £200.
On receipt of the deposit we will send you an e-mail confirmation of the booking, detailing the balance which is due one month before the start of your booking.

GENERAL INFORMATION

BOOKINGS. Bookings can start and finish on any day of the week.

ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES. Every effort will be made to make the house available from 3 pm. In order to facilitate this we would be grateful if guests would vacate by 10am on the day of departure. However, in the case of early arrival or late departure, guests are welcome to leave their luggage in our house.

HEATING. Gas for central heating, water heating and cooking and electricity for light, TV, washing machine, shower etc. are included in the tariff, however the owners would be grateful for your consideration in the use of these.

BREAKAGES. Guests are requested to notify us as soon as posible of any breakages, damage or malfunction so that replacements or repairs may be arranged. Minor breakages will not normally be charged for but we would point out that all damages and breakages are the responsibility of the hirer and a £100 refundable damage deposit will be required prior to the holiday.

PETS. In the interest of all guests we regret that we cannot accommodate pets.

CANCELLATION INSURANCE. We strongly advise you to take out some form of holiday insurance in case of cancellation. We regret that we cannot refund payments unless the accommodation is relet and legally you may be liable to compensate us for any loss of revenue.

LIABILITY. The proprietors and their employees and agents shall not be liable to any person for any personal injury or loss, or damage or loss to property, however caused or sustained.

HOLIDAY ACCOMMODATION. Thalia is available for holiday accommodation only and is exempt from the security of tenure under the Rent Act.

ACCURACY. Descriptions are made in good faith and are as accurate as possible. However, the owners cannot accept responsibility for errors and omissions and facilities which are unavailable for reasons outside their control.

NUMBERS.  Thalia is equipped to provide accommodation for five people. This number must not be exceeded without prior agreement.

PAYMENT. Payments may be made, preferably, by bank transfer or sterling cheque made out to "A and P Briscoe-Smith". Foreign currency cheques in major currencies will be accepted at current exchange rate after any commission charges by the banks.

SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS. The security arrangements provided must be used to maintain the insurance cover arranged by the owners.

Thalia Holiday Home Accommodation

Thalia is a three-bedroomed end-of-terrace house situated in the leafy residential area of Raynes Park, West Wimbledon and is conveniently situated for central London.

Raynes Park railway station offers a fast and frequent service to London and is about a 15 minute walk from the house.

Bus stops for Wimbledon, Kingston, Morden and Sutton are even closer.

The accommodation is of a high standard, decorated and furnished in a style to create a fresh and welcoming atmosphere and provide every comfort.

The kitchen has been fitted with plenty of cupboards, worktops, gas cooker, washer dryer, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and microwave oven.

On the first floor there are two large double bedrooms, one with a double bed the other with twin beds and a third bedroom with a single bed.

Thalia has full central heating, double glazing and External Wall Insulation, HD television, Blue Ray (DVD region 2), radio-CD player, hair dryer and iron.

Although most guests use their mobile phones there is an internet telephone connected to Sipgate for guests use. A charge may be made for calls other than local ones.
There is a broadband internet connection which is available for use by Wi-Fi wireless connection.

  • Off street parking for two cars, one behind the other, on gravel driveway and free street parking

  • Dining room - well stocked bookcase plus a selection of games, Radio-CD player
  • Small secluded garden - patio with table and chairs, also a rotary clothes line
  • Kitchen - all cooking and dining utensils, crockery etc., gas cooker, microwave oven, fridge-freezer, washer dryer, dishwasher, drinking water filter, electric iron
  • Small downstairs toilet
  • Up-stairs
  • Sleeps up to five people - one double bedded room, one twin bedded room and one single bedded room
  • Bathroom - bath, washbasin and toilet, shaver point (240 volt in bathroom mirror light fitting) and cubicle with electric shower

Location

Thalia is situated in the residential suburban area of Raynes Park, West Wimbledon, and are conveniently situated for access to central London.

Thalia is a short car journey from the M25 motorway which makes Heathrow and Gatwick international airports only 45 minutes away. Stansted Airport is further away on the other side of London,

Raynes Park railway station offers a fast (22 minutes) and frequent service to London Waterloo. The station is about 15 minutes walk from Thalia. Bus stops for Wimbledon, Kingston, Morden and Sutton are even closer.

We came back to Carshalton last week end to enjoy our new-born grandson Aiden who is a little darling!

Self Catering 3 Bedroom Holiday Home in South West London (backup)

"Thalia" is a three bedroomed houses in Westway, West Wimbledon, London SW20, available to rent as self catering accommodation for holidays or business trips. The prices charged are on a daily basis calculated on one seventh of the weekly rate although there is a minimum rate of one week.

There is broadband internet connection in Thalia which is available for use by Wi-Fi wireless or Ethernet connection
